Designed for coverage without bulk, it features a high collar, oversized hood, and long sleeves with thumbholes to shield your neck, face, and hands. Perfect for cool summer nights, it provides just enough warmth while keeping bugs at bay.
“Shine On” is a sun safety initiative created in collaboration with The Breasties . 10% of proceeds each hand screen-printed hoodie supports ongoing research efforts and helps fund meaningful advocacy work focused on prevention, education, and awareness.
Fit Details
Loose fit. Model is 5' 5" wearing an XS in Teal and Raven. A Small in Gold. If you like a bigger fit, choose one size up.
What are Sun-Safe Fabrics?
LuxCare uses naturally sun-protective fibers to help reduce everyday sun exposure, without chemical treatments or synthetic coatings.
UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) measures how much UVA and UVB radiation a fabric blocks before it reaches your skin. Higher UPF ratings indicate greater protection, with the fabric acting as a physical barrier.
Our sun-safe garments rely on the natural structure and density of the fibers themselves, so protection does not wash out over time. Making them perfect for sensitive skin. Thoughtfully constructed fabrics can reduce daily sun exposure indoors and outdoors, year-round.
LuxCare sun-safe garments support everyday sun safety but are not a replacement for sunscreen, hats, or shade. Please talk to your doctor for further medical guidance.
Fabrication and Care
Caring for Sun-Safe Fabrics
Proper care helps maintain the integrity and performance of sun-protective fabrics over time.
- Wash gently in cold water
- Use mild detergent
- Avoid fabric softeners and harsh chemicals
- Air dry when possible
As with all garments, normal wear, stretching, and long-term use may gradually reduce UPF performance. Avoid excessive stretching and rough surfaces to preserve the fabric’s structure.
Tumble dry low heat (will shrink 5%). Iron on medium or high heat
